01 · The London standard

The London standard, for Dubai interiors.

NU Projects has designed and built prime London homes since 2010. Sixteen years in Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Belgravia. There, the standard is set by the client and the street.

Period proportion, joinery and honest materials are the vocabulary we carry to Dubai. Our London interior team designs every room, then manages it to handover.

Kitchens, wardrobes, libraries and media units are made by Cochrane Bespoke, our joinery partner.

Sean Cochrane, Nick Jeffries’ partner in Cochrane Bespoke, designs every piece.

Each piece is drawn with the room it is going into. That is where the London craft shows.

04 · How it runs

How we design and manage it from London.

Cost and programme are reviewed with the design, every week. Provisional sums are named, not buried. How the price is set.

  1. 01The brief. How you live, who with, and what each room has to do.
  2. 02The concept. The mood, the palette and visualisations of the key rooms.
  3. 03The detail. Layouts, materials, lighting and joinery, drawn and scheduled in London.
  4. 04The samples. Materials you can hold, before anything is ordered.
  5. 05The price and the tender. A budget estimate, then a cost plan. Then tendered prices from vetted contractors.
  6. 06The fit-out, managed. We appoint and manage the contractors and specialists. A report every week, with photographs.
